Constructor

Syntax
Constructor( inNMEA0183DataChunk As String )
Parameter Description
inNMEA0183DataChunk A NMEA 0183 sentence without the '$' prefix and the checksum value.

Used to build a new instance with the New operator.

FixMode

Syntax
FixMode() As String

The mode used to create the fix. See the constant table below.

FixModeSelection

Syntax
FixModeSelection() As String

The way the fix mode is selected.

  • A” = Automatic
  • M” = Manual

HDOP

Syntax
HDOP() As String

The Horizontal Dilution of Precision value.

PDOP

Syntax
PDOP() As String

The Position Dilution of Precision value. This can be see as the spherical dilution of precision.

SatellitePRN

Syntax
SatellitePRN( inSatelliteIndex As Integer ) As String
Parameter Description
inSatelliteIndex the number of the satellite ( range is 1-12 ).
Returns an empty String if the satellite is not active.

Returns PRN number of the inSatelliteIndex-th satellite described in the $GPGSV set of sentences.

VDOP

Syntax
VDOP() As String

The Vertical Dilution of Precision value.

Fix mode

Constant name Value Description
kFixMode2D 2 This is a two-dimensional fix
kFixMode3D 3 This is a three-dimensional fix
kFixModeNotAvailable 1 The fix data are unavailable. i.e. there is not enough satellite in view,
or the GPS device is still acquiring satellites

Fix mode selection

Constant name Value Description
kFixModeSelectionAutomatic “A” The fix mode is automatically selected
kFixModeSelectionManual “M” The fix mode is manually selected ( i.e. forced )
