GPBOD

Super class zdGPSKit.NMEA.Sentence
Namespace zdGPSKit.NMEA

This sentence provides you with the true and magnetic bearings from Origin to Destination. It's transmitted in two situations:

  1. when the GPS device is in GOTO mode, without an active route. In this case, the bearing is calculated from the moment you press Enter in the GOTO page to the destination waypoint and is not updated dynamically. To update the information you will have to press Enter in the GOTO page again.
  2. when a route is active. It contains the active leg information i.e. the names of the origin and destination waypoint and the magnetic and true bearings between the two points. The bearing does not change during the time you are this leg and is updated when you are the next leg of the route.
